Exclusive Sencha grown at an altitude of 200 m above sea level in the scenic village of Wazuka in the famous Uji region of Kyoto Prefecture. The Sayamakaori cultivar represents approximately 2% of Japan's tea production. The word 'kaori', translated as fragrant, in its name indicates that it stands out for its fragrance.

The leaf is dark green, glossy and shaped into nice long needles. The scent of the dry leaves has a pleasant herbaceous note. The steamed leaves release a wonderful floral and citrus aroma. The infusion is clear, light green. The taste is refreshing, harmonious with umami flavours and a pleasant herbal aftertaste.

This tea is only available in limited quantities. In our opinion, it is one of the most interesting senchas in our range this year.
