About product

An exclusive grade of organically grown Gyokuro from the Kagoshima region made of the Samidori cultivar. The tea is produced by our friend, Mr. Sakamoto, who has been growing and producing exceptional teas organically for many years. He produces a total of four grades of gyokuo, of which Cha Meijin is the best. The rich umami flavour is also due to the organic fertiliser that Mr Sakamoto has been developing for 30 years. The leaves are processed using the fukamushi method, which further enhances the full and complex flavour of this tea.

We recommend preparing it in the traditional Japanese way. This tea is also suitable for preparation with cold water "Mizudashi" or preparation with ice "Koridashi".
